Kayleigh officially joined the SPAC team in 2026 as a Pastoral Apprentice in Care Ministry... but she definitely doesn’t feel new here! She has been attending SPAC since 2006, when a group of friends invited her to a Saturday night service. She quickly felt welcomed into the church community and began volunteering in a variety of ministry areas, including Worship, Youth, and Kids Ministry. Years later, after earning her Bachelor of Education degree and teaching with Elk Island Public Schools for over a decade, Kayleigh began to sense God calling her to pastoral ministry. She left the teaching career she loved to enroll at Tyndale Seminary, where she completed a Master of Theological Studies degree with a concentration in Thanatology. Kayleigh and her husband, Mark, have been married for sixteen years and have three children. When she’s not working, you’re most likely to find her singing silly songs with her kids, reading a good book, or outside running... even when it’s -40 and blizzarding! Twenty years after first stepping into Sherwood Park Alliance Church, Kayleigh is beyond grateful to be part of the SPAC team in this new capacity.
