On Easter weekend we will journey through three unique gatherings to end the Holy Week. We will recognize the most significant event in religious history, the driving force for the birth of Christ’s church. Each day will offer a different experience as we journey together from the sorrow and remembrance of Good Friday (Communion will be served), the waiting in Holy Saturday and the celebration of Easter Sunday!
Loss, pain, sorrow...all these have seemingly been constant in the past 2 years. We grieve and we rage. We look back, lament, and wonder why. How do we move forward? And is there a way to make our sorrow a sacred thing?
Good Friday is a sober day. It’s the day of atonement when Jesus becomes a substitute. Easter is the most joyful day of the year for followers of Jesus. It’s resurrection day, the day hope comes to life. But in between is Saturday. Saturday is a day of silence. The day of God’s silence. Or is it?
God has done something for you, because He’s FOR YOU! What He wants most from us is to receive this good news and accept his invitation to follow and experience the reality of the Kingdom of God on earth.
