While there is certainly much we could grumble about these days, the choice to be thankful remains before us. There are many places in Scripture that talk about thankfulness, I like the instruction from Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.It may be that you will need to work a little harder to express your gratitude this weekend. My hope for you is that as you gather (or not) with families and friends this weekend in whatever way you choose to do so, you would be intentional in expressing your thanks. The reminder to do so in ALL circumstances seems appropriate for such a time as this.Something I'm thankful for these days is you! As we have entered some additional "normal" routines over the last few weeks I've had the chance to connect with many of you that I haven't seen in a while. As I write this, I am thinking of many of your names and faces, my church family. Those of you who in big ways and small, have impacted our family as we have chosen to walk life together.I am thankful that we are connected to one another, on mission together, because of what Jesus is doing through us in this part of the world.I am filled with deep gratitude at being a part of this family.Have a great weekend, Jeremy thankfulness
